How to pay your deposit?

So, this is it! You are ready to book and want to know how to make your downpayment?
They are a few options offered to you.

Transferring your deposit

Banks are a pain, and particularly so in Taiwan, so we have tried to give you extra options to make this important step a little easier:


In cash, in Taiwan: contact us to arrange this.

If your bank gives you a hard time and/or charge you high fees, you may want to consider opening an account with an online bank before coming to Taiwan. It will not only save you money on this deposit transfer, but also make your life a lot easier in Taiwan. Taiwan has fairly strict capital controls that make using foreign cards and transferring from abroad pretty difficult.

We opened accounts with Revolut, N26, and Wise. In our experience Wise was the best and this is the service we now use to offer you all of these different payment options. About 25 to 30% of our tenants use online banks, and it makes the process a lot smoother for them and for us. Should you decide to go ahead and open one, use our referral code to get your card for free (normally 7 euros).

 

Once you are done, remember to fill the payment confirmation form!



How to handle the currency conversion?

We have accounts in multiple currencies in your countries of origin to try and make this as easy as possible. Here is how you can handle the currency conversion.

01 With exchange-rates.org

  1. Use the exchange rate from www.exchange-rates.org
  2. Make sure to put the correct date in your payment confirmation form, since we will use that to do the conversion.

How to pay your monthly fees?

Please note that your fees are due on the last day of the month, for the next month. For example, January's fees are due on December 25th. Please refer to the contract to make sure you understand the fees payment.

01 In cash

  1. This is only available between the 25th and the last day of the month. Do not drop your cash at other times. If you need to give us cash at another time, please get in touch directly with us to come to our office and do this in person.
  2. Go to the drop box in your house, and look for the camera pointed toward it.
  3. Turn toward the camera and show your cash.
  4. Insert your cash in an envelope that has your name and room number written on it. You need to be visible to the camera while doing this.
  5. Close the envelope in front of the camera. 
  6. Insert the envelope inside the slot on the top of the safe, while staying visible in front of the camera. 
  7. Send us immediately a message mentioning that you have paid your program fees using the drop box.
  8. Fill your payment confirmation the traditional way. 
  9. If you've missed the payment window, contact us to arrange a meeting in person to hand over your cash payment. 


02 By transfer to our foreign accounts
