Checking-in & Checking-out

It's that time of the year again. Let's make it a bit easier on you with a few steps planned in advance

How to use the lockbox?

Checking-in

The code to the door and house address have been communicated to you in a private message.

  • Entering your room: Each door has a number. Once inside check the condition of all furniture.
  1. Take photos of any particular damage found on the furniture
  2. Take photos of all the walls, even if you can see no damage. If you find anything stuck on the walls (blue tack, tape, hooks) make sure to take close up photos.
  3. Be thorough because we will check everything on your check out and we will charge for any damage that was not declared
  4. Send the photos to your landlord on Facebook Messenger to validate

  • Checking your equipment:

You should have

  1. A pair of keys on your desk
  2. a towel, a mirror, a fan, and a cord extension
  3. a desk and a chair in your room.

Let us know if something is missing.

  • Bedding: Each room has two sets of bed sheets as well as several other bedding items. They are stored in the storage under your bed, or in your wardrobe. It includes:
  1. 2 mattress covers
  2. 2 duvet covers and 1 duvet
  3. 1 pillowcase (single bed) or 2 pillowcases (double bed)
  4. 1 pillow (single bed) or 2 pillows (double bed)
  5. 1 mattress protector
  6. 2 towels

Each of these items is marked with your room code. Please make sure to only take your items after washing them. We will count what items you have in your room at the time of your moving out and we will expect to get the full kits back.

Here is where your room code is marked:

·      Mattress protection, mattress cover, duvet, and towel: On one of the 4 corners

·      Duvet cover: Near the flap that opens to put in the duvet

·      Pillowcases: Inside the flap that opens to put in the pillow

·      Pillows: On one of the two edges

If the marking on one of your items is fading, please talk to our cleaner about renewing it.

  • AC: Check that your AC can be turned on. Have a look at the AC guide in your house guide; it will help you not go over your AC allowance.

  • House equipment: Make sure that you know where are the spare batteries, the spare lightbulbs, and the spare supplies (toilet paper, shampoo, cleaning products…) in the House. This information is in your house guide.

  • Taipei City Guide: Check out our Taipei guide, it may make your first few days in Taipei a lot easier: tinyurl.com/tpewelcome

Checking-out

Important Notes:

Your room/studio needs to be empty and you need to be completely done with steps 1 to 8 by 2PM on the last day of your contract, at the latest.

If you're late you will cause significant trouble for our cleaner and you may prevent the next person from moving in on time and into a clean room.

Please be considerate.  We may levy a penalty if you do not.

  12. Double check the shoe rack for any shoes left behind. Do not leave any shoes behind
